Heat pumps
Heat pump technology extracts heat from either air (air source) or the ground (ground source)and uses this heat to heat buildings and water for washing and heating.. This technology has advanced significantly in last few years with the components becoming more efficient and cheaper to purchase. Ideally heat source technology should be considered at the early stages of new build to maximise the benefits it can bring but retro fitting can be undertaken and benefits enjoyed.
